Update: 16-10-2024 | 17:28:46

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra on October 16 officially launched Thailand’s national economic recovery project, aimed at supporting small businesses, easing spending, and reducing living costs.

The Ministry of Commerce, in coordination with over 150 private sector organisations, including the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, and major retail chains, will support local businesses by organising discount product fairs across 76 provinces.

The project, running from September 2024 to January 2025, focuses on generating income, lowering expenses, and creating new development opportunities.

Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan highlighted that this initiative, alongside the government's 10,000 THB (more than 300 USD) financial aid programme, is expected to stimulate economic recovery across Thailand./.
