Thu Dau Mot City exceeds targets for voluntary blood donation

On October 16, Red Cross Society of Thu Dau Mot City cooperated with Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) to organize a voluntary blood donation campaign attracting the participation of a large number of volunteers. Through screening, the Organizing Committee received 300 units of blood.

In 2023, Thu Dau Mot City was assigned a target of 3,500 blood units by Provincial Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation campaign. To achieve the assigned target, right from the beginning of this year, the City Red Cross Society advised the City Steering Committee to develop plans and innovate propagation methods.

As a result, the City Red Cross has mobilized 4,292/3,500 units of blood, reaching 122.6% of the provincial target.
