Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee congratulates Older Persons’ Union

On occasion of the 81st anniversary of Tradition Day of Older Persons, on June 6, Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee organized a delegation to congratulate and present flowers to the City Union of Older Persons.

On behalf of the delegation, Nguyen Van Dong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, congratulated the City Union of Older Persons, wished all union members good health, to be good examples, encourage members to participate in the city's movements, especially the implementation of criteria to improve the quality of the movement Building urban cultural and civilized life launched by the City Party Committee.

Nguyen Van Dong also expected the Union of Older Persons to always be a spiritual support for all members, encourage their children and families to comply well with the Party's policies, the State's laws and local regulations.

Over the years, the city's Older Persons’ Union has coordinated with competent branches to care for the elderly, organize health examination and counseling activities; mobilize families, children, grandchildren and the community to visit, encourage and help the elderly, especially the elderly having difficult circumstances. However, the city has fully and timely implemented policies and regimes for the elderly, ensured that 100% of the elderly, who are poor, lonely, disabled, people aged 80 and over without retirement pension or social insurance benefits, receive allowances under the regulations.
