Thuan An’s Association of Victims of AO opens 2nd congress

Early June 28, Thuan An town’s Association of Victims of Agent Orange (AO) held its 2nd congress for the 2018-2023 tenure.

The association now has a total of 107 members. In the last tenure, the association mobilized donors and socio-economic organizations to take care of AO victims…Particularly, the association built 1 house, upgraded 2 houses for AO victims, visited 56 AO victims being treated at hospitals…

In the 2018-2013 tenure, the association will help AO victims rise up in life; continue mobilizing individuals and organizations to raise money for its fund, offering help to AO victims…

On this occasion, the congress elected a new executive board of the association with 11 members. The town’s People’s Committee also honored 19 collectives and 13 individuals with contributions to the association.

*According to provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange (AO), in early July, 2018, a delegation of the Association of People Loving Vietnam in the Republic of Korea (VESAMO), led by Chang Ho Ick, Chairman of the VESAMO cum Principal of Dong-Won University of Science and Technology will visit, present gifts to AO victims in the province.

The delegation is expected to attend a ceremony handing over a house funded by VESAMO to a AO victim in Long Tan commune’s Hoc Mang hamlet in Dau Tieng district; offer gifts worth US$5,000 to AO victims in the province…This is one of activities boosting the relationship between people of two countries Vietnam and the Republic of Korea while helping AO victims in the province get a stable life.
