Thuan An widely multiplies models on environmental protection

Early March 21, Thuan An town’s People’s Committee held a conference reporting the result of implementation of the 2018 plan on environmental protection and the plan for 2019.

The town’s People’s Committee last year well realized environmental protection tasks, including making propaganda to raise public awareness of environmental protection; carrying out inspection over environmental protection; excelling at collecting solid waste…The town’s Division of Natural Resources and Environment well implemented a task on classifying waste at source, a model on quarter without waste while the town’s mass organizations jointly well realized main tasks such as mobilizing people to eradicate illegal advertising boards, plant green trees; launching “Voluntary Saturday”, “Green Sunday” campaigns; carrying out 5 “youth flower garden” works; organizing the 3^rd festival “Joining hands for green city” and the 3-T campaign 2019…

For 2019’s targets, the town will strengthen dissemination and widely multiply models on environmental protection; strive to get 99.9% of households in use of clean water, 30% of daily waste water treated, 98% of daily solid waste collected and treated, 100% of new investment projects arranged in line with the local plan.
