To drastically prevent and control the pandemic in lodging houses

 Due to with the complicated developments of the Covid-19, lodging house owners and workers have been joining hands with the local authorities to tighten the pandemic prevention and control to help residents feel secure.

Recommendations of Ministry of Health on Covid-19 prevention and control are disseminated at Duong Phung Thien residential area.

 Medical masks and hand sanitizers are free to use

After worker's shift, Do Thi Cham, the owner of Do Thi Cham lodging house (Khanh Binh ward, Tan Uyen town), waited in front of the house to offer free face masks to workers, who were not wearing a mask. Ms. Cham said: “I strictly follow instructions of the Prime Minister, Provincial People's Committee, and follow recommendations of the health authority. Strict prevention and control of the Covid-19 at her lodging house is also to protect myself and the residents. As the second epidemic outbreak started, I urgently bought thousands of face masks and hand sanitizers, then placed these on shelves at the lodging house's entrance for workers staying here. It is known that Do Thi Cham lodging house has 100 rooms with hundreds of workers as renters. This lodging house is also equipped with surveillance system not only to protect the security and order but also to perform the epidemic prevention and control.

The province has now tens of thousands of lodging houses. Together with local authorities, lodging house owners and workers are striving for the Covid-19 prevention and control. Only in Khanh Binh ward (Tan Uyen town), there are nearly 400 companies, including more than 100 FDI companies. This area has a large number of migrant laborers, who came from other provinces. Therefore, the management and tightening the Covid-19 prevention and control at lodging houses has been closely monitored by local government.

To join hands for the Covid-19 prevention and control

Duong Phung Thien residential area located at No. 3/19, Binh Phuoc A quarter, Binh Chuan ward, Thuan An city, has clean and airy rows of rooms. The owner installed an automatic hand washing machine at the entrance to serve all 165 rooms here. There are also posters to announce and instruct methods of preventing and fighting against Covid-19 as recommended by Ministry of Health. Vu Van Toan, manager of Duong Phung Thien residential area, introduced: “The automatic hand washing machine invented by a students' group, funded and installed by Youth Union in collaboration with Provincial Public Security Youth at some lodging houses and residential areas in the area to control the epidemic for workers”.

Mr. Toan added, this residential area' inhabitants are mostly families of workers coming from other provinces and cities. Therefore, in addition to the security and order protection, the prevention control of Covid-19 has received much attention. “Right from the beginning, I have joined hands with the ward police and local government organizations to closely follow the situation and manage workers living here. In particular, it is strictly forbidden to all rooms from gatherings. Besides, I also regularly remind and request that those who returned to their hometown or went out of the province, must report their arrivals to local government for health monitoring”, said Mr. Toan.

Nguyen Thi Luong lodging house is located in alley 72, Le Thi Trung street, Phu Loi ward (Thu Dau Mot city), and has 35 clean rooms. Students and workers living here are self-conscious of preventing and fighting against the pandemic. Governmental bodies and mass organizations of Phu Loi ward have come to the lodging house to instruct renters here install Bluezone. Everyone have implemented this well.

Local authorities as well as many lodging house owners and workers in Binh Duong province have fully and determinedly taken part in the implementation of prevention control measures to repel this health crisis.
