November 9 has been chosen as annual “Day of Laws of Socialist Republic of Vietnam” or “Day of Vietnamese Laws” for short based on Law of Law dissemination and education.Day of Vietnamese Laws has attracted a wide range of sectors and agencies in the province with highlight on improving awareness of the society regarding the role and importance of Constitution, laws, and legal education. Deputy Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Nhi (third from left) hands awards to organizations and individuals for their excellent tasks in law dissemination  This year’s Day of Vietnamese Laws has the theme of “the people in construction, implementation, and protection of the Constitution for wealth, strength, democracy, equality, and civilization as approved by Ministry of Justice on September 25. Accordingly, the province shall concentrate on dissemination and propaganda on purposes and philosophy of the Day of Vietnamese Laws, on education and deeper dissemination of regulations of the Constitution and laws in management and social life.The major points include basic contents of the amended Constitution 1992 and other laws related to individuals and organizations approved by National Assembly at its 6th session, Law on Land, Law on Marriage and Family, and Law on Medical Insurance among other legal documents.Officers, cadres, civil servants, and the people have been mobilized and educated in terms of observing the laws.Besides, organizing units have integrated dissemination of the day to monthly activities and the movement of “learning and following President Ho Chi Minh moral examples”, movement of “the people in constructing cultural life”, “building new rural areas”, “year of traffic safety”, and implementation of decisions of government’s Prime Minister on standards of law accessibility.The activities and forms of dissemination depend on reality and status of organizations, units, and localities.In years, the “Day of Vietnamese Laws” has been monthly organized in provincial units with relative achievements. Leaders of organizations, units, and agencies have set up their steering board, secretariat, and union members as direct monitoring joints with operation consultancy to facilitate full participation of members.The year 2013 is the first year ever that the “Day of Vietnamese Law” is nationally implemented with wide spread to the public.
