To strengthen the prevention and treatment of hand-foot- mouth disease

 On July 27, provincial Department of Health directed relevant medical facilities in the province to strengthen the prevention and treatment of hand-to-mouth disease.

Health Department required provincial Center for Disease Control and medical centers of districts, towns and cities to review and supplement the plans for hand-to-mouth disease prevention; intensify monitoring and detection of contracted cases, communication on mass media; prepare manpower, equipment, chemicals needed for this disease control.

For medical treatment facilities, it is necessary to strictly perform the collection and treatment of this disease as prescribed by Ministry of Health; at the same time, enhancing preventive measures of cross-contamination, infection control, treatment classification, filter of outpatient and inpatient treatment; review and supplement plans for hand-to-mouth disease treatment, prepare sufficient equipment, machinery, medicines and medical supplies to be ready for patient receiving and treatment; strengthen the monitoring of  patients in inpatient treatment facilities, timely give treatment of severe cases and complete patient records.
