VAAS’s delegation works with Binh Duong

Early August 11, a delegation of the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAAS), led by Dr. Cao Duc Phat, Deputy Head of the Economic Subcommittee of the Central Theoretical Council, Vice- Chairman of the Council of the VAAS, had a working session with provincial People's Committee. Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee and representatives of relevant departments and sectors received the delegation.

At the working session, the delegation exchanged a number of contents on the local agricultural production planning over the past time and orientations in the future; the local agricultural production strengths in cultivation and animal husbandry; policies to support agricultural development in the local process of urbanization; positive impacts from the implementation of the new-style rural construction program and the “One Commune- One Product” (OCOP) program; improvement of awareness about digital transformation in agriculture among farmers...

Mr. Phat assessed that in the process of industrialization and urbanization, Binh Duong province has always been interested in agricultural and rural development; effectively built the local new-style rural region to make it become a worth-living place. Binh Duong has had many effective solutions in investing in rural areas, creating favorable conditions for them to develop, creating equal development in localities in the province to bring rural areas closer to urban ones…
