Vietnam willing to create incentives for US businesses

Update: 24-02-2012 | 00:00:00

Vietnam always creates favourable conditions for foreign businesses, including those from the US, says Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

PM Dung made the affirmation while receiving a delegation of US businesses led by Alexander Feldman, President of US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC).

The Government leader said Vietnam considers the US its leading trade partner and investor, and asked businesses to frankly inform Vietnamese authorities about difficulties facing them while operating in the country, in order to ensure investment efficiency.

Representatives of major US businesses such as Federal Express, Intel, Time Warner and Chartis highly valued Vietnam’s dynamic economic development and said its open-door policy has been very attractive to foreign investors.

They expressed hope that Vietnamese authorities will create more incentives by boosting the exchange of information about projects and fields of priority to help US businesses expand their operations in the country
