Work starts on shoe factory of US$30million

Early July 30, ECCO Vietnam Co.Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of its factory at the Bau Bang Urban and Industrial Park.

The event was attended by representatives of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam and provincial Industrial Parks’ Management Board.

Covering 12 hectares, the factory has total investment of US$30million for the phase 1 and is expected to be put into operation in July, 2020 with more than 1,400 laborers. This is the 6^th shoe factory of ECCO in the world.

Alexander Falter, General Director of ECCO Vietnam Co.Ltd. said that the birth of the factory in Vietnam is an important hallmark, further affirming ECCO’s commitment to become the world’s leading corporation in footwear industry.

According to Le Khac Tri, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People’s Committee, the factory has contributed to the local success in investment attraction. The district will further create favorable conditions for investors to work effectively.
