Workers ‘children happily celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a festival for children. In order to spread more joy to the offspring of workers, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have brought a joyful full-moon festive atmosphere and given them meaningful gifts.

“Kids are so happy…”!

Although the rain did not stopped until more than 18 o'clock, brothers and sisters of Binh An ward’s Youth Union in Di An city still coordinated with the ward’s Military Command and Red Cross Society to well prepare for the program "The bus trip- The moon for you". Although it was raining, the bus moved together with members in the costumes of Hang Nga and Uncle Cuoi to sub- unions for young workers in Noi Hoa 1 quarter’s group 8, delivering 200 gifts and lanterns to children here. Being unable to hide her emotions, Le Thi Hong, a worker staying here, said: "It is raining, but local mass organizations still enthusiastically bring mid-Autumn gifts. The children are very happy, making their parents happy too…”.

Joining the joyful atmosphere of the mid-Autumn festival across the country, with the desire to bring a warm atmosphere and take care of children who are the offspring of young workers, provincial Support Center for Young Workers also organized a "full-moon festival" for children with difficult circumstances. In the fun space of lion and dragon dance performances, magic items, balloon-making clowns, children here sang and expressed the joy on each face. On this occasion, the organizers also gave 30 gifts for children who are the offspring of young workers with difficult circumstances, showing their attention to workers in creating fun activities for children.

Lighting dreams

After 2 years of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival seems to be doubled in joy at lodging sub-unions for young workers and charity classes. The sound of unicorn drums, colorful lanterns and cakes delivered to the children created unexpected joy and left them with beautiful memories.

The program "Full moon festive night - Lanterns given - Lighting up dreams" of Binh Hoa ward in Thuan An city was held in the laughter of children at 24E/12 lodging sub-union for young workers in Binh Dang quarter. The art performance items, Hang Nga-Uncle Cuoi costume team with gifts really brought a memorable night for children at the lodging facility.

The atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival at the sub-union of group 62 in Binh Duong 3 quarter in Di An city’s An Binh ward was very exciting when the ward’s Organizing Board of the Project on uniting and gathering young workers organized a program "Mid-Autumn Festival- reunion and full of hometown love" with 50 mid-autumn gifts given for children.

Not only at lodging facilities, the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival also spread at Binh Thung 1 charity class in Di An city’s Binh An ward when the ward’s Youth Union organized a program "Dream moon - Welcome the new school year” for 80 children here. On the night of this year's full moon festival, these children were able to watch art performance items and participate in the lantern procession. Besides, they received gifts, comprising of schoolbags, notebooks, lanterns, moon cakes, milk …, from local departments, mass organizations and donors. Although being small, these gifts were practical,  sharing difficulties with these children, thereby encouraging them to strive, overcome their current difficult situation, continuing to study hard.

Tran Bao Lam, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said: "The Mid-Autumn Festival for workers' children is held annually by Youth Unions at all levels because this is a practical activity in taking care of the lives of children and workers at lodging facilities. This year, provincial Youth Union and its branches in localities crowded with workers have continued making efforts to mobilize sources to organize art performances, lion dances, folk games and give thousands of gifts, cakes and lanterns for the offspring of young children with difficult circumstances, orphans and those at charity classes”.
