The local department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on Nov. 18 held a conference themed “launching Decree No.107/2010/ND-CP” on stipulating minimum wage level for Vietnamese employees working at foreign companies.
Accordingly, the salary increase will apply to employees working for businesses split into regions as of January 1st, 2011 and July 1st, 2011 under two decrees issued recently by the government.
In the province, starting Jan. 1, 2011 to June 30, 2011, the minimum monthly salary for workers in region two and three including Thu Dau Mot town, Thuan An, Di An, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen will be a bump to VND1,350,000 and workers in Phu Giao, and Dau Tieng districts will enjoy an increase to VND1,170,000 per month.
Starting July 1, 2011, minimum wage of workers in region one and two that includes Thu Dau Mot town, Thuan An, Di An, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen will increase to VND1,550,000 and workers in the remaining region including Phu Giao and Dau Tieng will receive an increase to VND1,350,000.
