Youth volunteers join hands in new-style rural construction

In response to voluntary activities, joining hands in building new-style rural construction, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has implemented this policy to Youth Union members through practical activities and tasks, contributing to promoting sustainable agriculture and rural development.

Peak day

Building new-style rural areas is a particularly important strategic policy of the Party and State. During the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2022, provincial Youth Union chose North Tan Uyen district as a locality to organize the peak voluntary day to join hands in building new-style rural areas. Through activities of the peak day to promote propaganda about the importance of agricultural production, new-style rural construction in the process of national industrialization and modernization among Youth Union members and people.

North Tan Uyen is one of localities with a new-style rural image with changes towards advanced new-style countryside. Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has coordinated with North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union to organize many exciting and meaningful activities. Particularly, provincial Youth Union awarded a "Lighting up rural road" work; supported 5 start-up ideas for rural youths; honored good rural youths in economic activities in 2022.

Besides, provincial Youth Union has established provincial start-up club for rural youths; launched community digital technology groups, "Young intellectuals volunteer to transfer technical advancements" squads; organized a visit to 2 models on “Good youths in economic development and start-up youths in rural areas; organize a training forum on OCOP …

Possibly speaking, the launching ceremony of the peak day has contributed to diversifying support forms for rural youths in economic development, encouraging Youth Union members to get rich legitimately, creating changes in the activities of provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation.

Over the past time, North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union also directed 100% of the local Youth Union branches to organize the "Green Sunday" campaign in response of the "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2022". Accordingly, the local Youth Union branches cleaned up "red addresses"; made environmental hygiene with such activities as planting trees, collecting waste at spontaneous dumping grounds, removing illegal ads... These activities aimed at further promoting propaganda, raising Youth Union members ‘awareness of environmental protection towards a green - clean - beautiful countryside.

Upholding youths’intelligence

In a bid to further promote the ability and wisdom of youths in implementing criteria on building new rural areas at grassroots level, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has deployed this to the local Youth Union branches with key contents implemented.

Tran Bao Lam, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that in order to contribute to the successful implementation of the Party and State's policy on building new-style rural areas, provincial Youth Unions at all level have focused on building and protecting agricultural environment by planting green trees, flowers along the roadsides; deploying the models of “Flowered electric poles”, “Youth nursery”… On the other hand, they have also participated in building rural infrastructure through activities of renewing and repairing rural roads; lighting rural roads; upgrading and dredging a system of in-field canals; building charity houses, “red scarf” houses and recreational playgrounds for children...

“Especially, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have focused on supporting Youth Union members to develop their economy in association with agricultural restructuring, aiming to improve rural youths’ income. The local Youth Union branches have been proactive to organize training on transferring sci-tech advancements and applying digital technology; start-up consulting and procedures, loan support, job introduction for young people... Besides, each district, city, town’s Youth Union has conducted a survey and selected at least one difficult hamlet to support in new-style rural construction”, Mr. Lam said.

The enthusiastic voluntary spirit of the youths will greatly contribute to effectively implementing activities to join hands in build new-style rural areas, positively contributing to the local socio-economic development in association with new-style rural construction at the requirements of national industrialization and modernization in the new situation.
