Youths to be connected to organization of Youth’s League and associations

To promote the volunteer of youths in local socio-economic development, all-level Youth’s League and associations have in the last year implemented various practical programs to open up unified fronts to gather youths. Thereon, various models have been in place to attract the majority of youths’ participation. However, the tasks have in fact faced various limitation and drawbacks.

Truong Van Khanh, the Deputy Secretary of Thuan An Town Youth’s League informed that up to date 381 associations of factory workers in hostels (including 17 associations of factory workers in non-state enterprises) to include 300 members of Khmer across Binh Hoa, Binh Chuan, Thuan Giao, An Phu, and Hung Dinh. Ever since their establishment, the maintenance of operations have transformed dramatically with focus on gathering of youths.

Understanding and knowing about habits of members, Thuan An Town Association of Vietnamese Youths has established models of taking care of members and ethnic factory workers locally. One of the activities attracting majority of them include the Chol Chnam ThMay Festival – the traditional New Year Holiday of Khmer people. Annually, the association coordinates with associations of factory workers in hostels of populated ethnic members to organize various activities of ethnic tradition to gather members and ethnic workers in hostels to join up general atmosphere of the festival, helping them to enhance the chemistry and ease their homesickness while enjoying the festival of their tradition.

In other form of connection, Tran Le Chau, the Deputy Secretary of Dau Tieng District Youth’s League said: “The models and movements of Dau Tieng District youths have recently gained prominent results, contributing to local socio-economic development. The club has especially implemented fundraising by regular production of bracelets, key tags, decorative tags and flower sales during Tet Holiday. Thereon, the club has been funded for various activities of gratitude and gift visits to children of harsh circumstances.”

Chau added that the local association, in a bid to expand the gathering and unifying youths in clubs, teams, groups, and unions, has implemented movements and promoted the volunteer of youths in organizing various diversified movements of meanings.

As we could see that the construction of Youth’s League has recently harmonized especially by the expansion of unifying and gathering targeted youths. Particularly, 3 unions have been established in non-state enterprises. Four clubs of young factory connection have been established. Five apartments and ten charity houses have been presented to Youth’s League members of harsh circumstances. Various new and practical models taking care of Youth’s League members of religion and ethnic communities have created tremendous attraction to youths and inspire their contribution to local general development.

However, accompanied by the advantages are certain challenges and drawbacks including the information dissemination and education.

At the conference partially summing up activities of Youth’s League and children and adolescences, Nguyen Huu Tu, the Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee demanded for more efforts and attention to material and spiritual lives of factory workers in Binh Duong Province. Then, the reforms of leadership and operations should be for avoidance of red-tape. He has especially noted of the promotion of movements by their true values to attract more and more youths who would contribute by their strengths in various fields, contributing to the active development and non-stop creativity of the localities.
