Horasis Asia 2018 gives opportunities for businesses

On 25 and 26 Nov, at Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, Horasis Asia Meeting 2018 took place and was a success. The meeting has opened up opportunities for enterprises, managers, economic groups to connect trade activities, expand markets, exchange management experiences in the age of globalization.

Many issues are discussed

On 25 Nov, eleven meetings within Horasis Asia Meeting 2018 (10 dialogue sessions and 1 plenary session) took place. At the 10 dialogues, speakers discussed issues such as: digital economy, investment in Asia, Asian governance models... The speakers analyzed the potential of new technology Blockchain, the use of servers or cloud computing, network security. The speakers also exchanged views on ways and trends of business development in line with the general situation of the region and the world to create success for each nation and the region, for the common goal of building Asia into a comprehensive, sustainably developing region.

At the plenary session with the theme "Asian Dynamism", speakers discussed the cooperation between Asian countries in particular and countries in the world in general. According to speakers, cooperation is needed to co-exist and develop, and to work out solutions to build Asia into a dynamic, comprehensive and sustainable developing zone, becoming the center of the world. .

At the dinner after meeting, Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial National Assembly delegation, highlighted achievements over more than 30 renewal years of Vietnam. He also emphasized that Binh Duong province had been making efforts to boost cooperation in socio-economic development, enhancing its integration and competitiveness in the international arena. Due to big changes of Asia and the world, Binh Duong province has been implementing a project of building Binh Duong Smart City - a breakthrough program of socio-economic development to heighten Binh Duong’s position in the region and the world.

Foundation for long-term development

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Horasis 2018 on 26 Nov, Trinh Dinh Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, emphasized that with an open economy and integration, Vietnam became a country that is important in the world's supply chain. The participation in many international economic alliances has created diversification in the supply chain of Vietnam, helped to minimize the impact of international trade risks. It can be said that as joining the Vietnamese market, businesses will have the opportunity to access most of the world's major markets.

Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Binh Duong was one of the truly dynamic localities leading the country in creating a favorable environment for investment and business; is a Vietnam's leading foreign investment destination, with a total capital of $31.8 billion. Many leading international groups have invested in Binh Duong, many of which have been successful in Binh Duong.

On 26 Nov, there were 26 dialogue sessions and 3 plenary sessions. At the dialogue sessions, speakers discussed issues such as: empowering the youth, starting a small-scale enterprise, industry 4.0, investment opportunities in Binh Duong... Speakers explored the opportunities and challenges of Asia in Industry 4.0; identified the vision and possible solutions to enhance open multilateral trading systems, support start-ups and share valuable experiences in socio-economic field.

Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, notified that Binh Duong was investing in infrastructure upgrading, especially roads, waterways, to meet transport demand of domestic and foreign enterprises. Particularly, the province is building Binh Duong New City, a smart city, to create new breakthrough for the province and at the same time increase investment attraction in high scientific and technological fields in the locality.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of Horasis Asia Meeting 2018, Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, believed and hoped this event was an opportunity for delegates and businesses to learn about and experience the reality of Asia, characteristics of Vietnam land and people of in general and business environment of Binh Duong province in particular. Then businesses and investors will have a new option of reliable investment destination; this was the opportunity to lay the foundation for long-term sustainable development and prosperity in the future.
