10th provincial Trade Union congress for 2018-2023 tenure concludes

The closing ceremony of the 10th provincial Trade Union congress for the 2018-2023 tenure took place on the morning of May 18. Attending the event were Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee together with 435 delegates representing nearly 700,000 trade unionists and more than 1 million officials, civil servants and laborers across the province.

The congress elected a new executive board of the 10th provincial Trade Union for the 2018-2023 tenure with 46 members; a delegation to attend the 12th national Trade Union congress with 25 officials delegates and 6 alternative ones.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee applauded flexibility of provincial Trade Unions at all levels and contributions by trade unionists, civil servants and laborers to the local development over the past time. With this spirit, he hoped that the congress will effectively implement instructions of provincial Party Committee, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; focus on putting forward important orientations so that trade unionists and laborers will make contributions to the renewal of the Trade Union and work harder for the development of Binh Duong homeland…
