Many key goals surge at fair level
In 2012 some plans reached a fair growth from 2011. Accordingly, the provincial industrial production value developed stably while difficulties were solved gradually. The local industrial production value was estimated at VND140,660bil, a 14.2% increase. Of this, foreign investment area surged 15%, accounting for 69.5% and local investment one increased 12.5%. Industries reaching a fair growth included food processing, beverage, garment & textile, leather, furniture, chemicals, paper, rubber, electronics…
Areas of trade and import and export also obtained positive changes. Purchasing power and goods supply were in stability. The total retail sales of consumer goods reached VND75,145bil, up 29.7%. The province continues implementing the program on price stability in this year. Market days taking Vietnamese goods to rural areas and promotional programs contributed to encourage local residents’ demand on shopping. Export surged 16% (over US$12bil).
The highlighted character of local socio-economy in 2012 is in foreign investment attraction. In this year, the province lures more than US$2bil in foreign investment projects. Until now, the entire province has 2,117 foreign projects with the total capital of over US$17bil. In addition, the province now has 13,386 businesses with the total capital of VND102,771bil.
Targets of social development and environmental protection ensured the set plans.
Party building work shows positive change
In 2012 the entire party committee focuses on implementing resolution of the 11th national congress of the central part committee and the 9th provincial party committee congress, ratifying implementation of 14 programs and action plans.
Additionally, the entire province concentrated on building action plans and implementing resolutions and conclusions of the 4th and 5th conferences of the Central Party Committee and so on.
The party committee at all levels continued spurring leadership and creating positive changes on improving the party’s leadership capacity. Besides, the work of the Party development was focused on both quality and quantity.
Since the start of this year, the entire province admitted 1,864 new party members, up 88 members from the same period last year, reaching 110% from the 2012’s goals. The figure lifted the total party members up to 30,947.
The work of mass mobilization reached positive results. Accordingly, mass bodies excelled patriotic emulation movements, bringing significant efficiency on all areas.
