The provincial party committee yesterday opened the 11th conference of the executive committee of the 9th provincial party committee. The session was presided by the provincial party committee secretary Mai The Trung. The conference participants heard reports on the local socio-economic situation, national defense-security and orientation and mission for 2013. Despite difficulties in economy, the provincial People's Committee focused on implementing resolutions set out by the Government and local authority and solving obstacles to spur production and business.Reportedly, some targets reached a fair growth in this year. Of this, the local GDP surged 12.5%, capita GDP at VND44.2mil, foreign investment attraction at over US$2bil and local investment attraction at VND11,331bil. Export turnover reached US$12,129bil, a 16% increase from the same period last year while import turnover at US$9,939bil. The ratio of poor household declined 1.16% while 45,100 people enjoyed jobs.In 2013, the local administration will continue solving difficulties to boost development of production and business, perfecting socio-economic infrastructure facilities, effectively implementing policies on production and investment structure, ensuring social welfare, reinforcing national defense and security... Specifically, the province targets to reach a 12.5% increase in local GDP growth, VND50.8mil in capita GDP increase, US$1bil in foreign investment attraction and among others in the next year.Reporting on the Party building work in 2012 and orientation and mission for 2013, the provincial People's Council chairman Vu Minh Sang said that the local work of Party building reached positive results. Authorities at all levels improved their leadership capacity. The mass mobilization work was paid much attention by local mass bodies and fatherland front committee.The conference spent much time to discuss and assess implementation of goals of local socio-economic development in 2012 and orientation and task for 2013.At the conference, deputies ratified reports on self-criticism and criticism according to the 4th Party Central Committee's resolution, elected additionally Pham Cong Tam as member of the provincial Inspection Committee for the 2010-2015 term.Concluding the session, the provincial party committee secretary Mai The Trung noted some important issues.
