2016 festival “Young physicians following Uncle Ho’s teachings” kicks off

Early May 15, the Central Committees of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU), Vietnam Young Physicians Association in collaboration with Binh Duong province’s Youth Union held the 2016 festival “Young physicians following Uncle Ho’s teachings-Volunteering for the community’s health”. Attending the event were Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Associate Professor Doctor Pham Le Tuan, Deputy Minister of Health; Nguyen Phi Long, Secretary of the Central Committee of the HCMCYU.

In Binh Duong, 2,000 young workers provided free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for 1,100 policy beneficiary, poor households and workers while performing free cataract surgeries for 20 elderly people. On this occasion, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association was honorably awarded the third-class Labor Medal and the certificates of merit of the Prime Minister for its excellent performance in activities for the community’s health…
