2024 high school graduation exam will take place in late June

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) is consulting the Departments of Education and Training about the specific time to organize the 2024 high school graduation exam. However, it is expected that the exam will still be held at the end of June like in 2023. This is information given by Nguyen My Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Quality Management under the Ministry of Education and Training at the 2024 Enrollment and Career Guidance Festival Festival taking place on the morning of March 17.

According to Mr. Phong, the announcement of exam results is still carried out as last year. Under the exam organization instructions, the Ministry of Education and Training will specifically stipulate when the Departments of Education and Training must announce test scores to candidates. The basic exam remains unchanged with 5 tests, including 3 mandatory tests in math, literature, foreign language and 2 combination tests of natural science subjects and social science subjects.

2024 is the year of the last high school graduation exam for students studying under the old general education program. From 2025, the exam will only have 4 subjects, including 2 mandatory subjects: math, literature and 2 subjects chosen by candidates from subjects they have chosen to study in high school.
