Provincial Farmers’ Association, on July 1, held a conference to partially sum up its activities in the first half of 2014, in attendance of Nguyen Thanh Liem, Head of provincial Committee for Public Relations.

Over the past six months, provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels cooperated with relevant agencies to organize 299 training courses on sci-tech advancements in agricultural production, 106 seminars on techniques to grow and tend various plants. They also teamed up with functional agencies to well realize social programs, guided farmers to well realize the national target programs on agriculture, farmers and rural areas…

Addressing the conference, Mr.Liem acknowledged achievements done by provincial Farmers’ Associations at all levels while suggesting them to pay attention to propaganda work, raising farmers’ awareness, especially about Vietnam’s sovereignty over sea and islands, policies pertaining to agriculture, farmers and rural areas. He also stressed that they also needed to attach special importance to promoting effective models, helping farmers have a stable consumption market.
