35th "zero dong" market-day held

*3,000 eye, nose and throat cleaning kits offered to Covid-19 patients, poor people

On September 29, provincial Red Cross Society held the 36th "zero dong” market-day at the humanitarian site on 30-4 street in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Hoa ward, aiming to further support people facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic.

At the “zero dong” market-day

Every day, 300 disadvantaged households in 3 wards of Thu Dau Mot city will be given a voucher for the “zero dong” market-day. Each voucher will include 10kg of rice, soy sauce, fish sauce, instant noodles, dried vermicelli, milk, drinking water, soap, shampoo, vegetables, fruits ... , funded by donors to share difficulties with people amid the pandemic.

The organizers have coordinated with the locality to ensure safety for Covid-19 prevention and control during the time of the market-day. People were also guided to go to the market-day by their own one-way path, line up orderly and always keep a safe distance.

*On the same day, provincial Red Cross Society and armed force prepared 3,000 eye, throat and nose cleaning kits along with granulated salt for Covid-19 patients and disadvantaged people.

Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Association said that the association will donate these kits to Covid-19 patients and needy people at field hospitals, medical isolation facilities, mobile medical stations in communes, wards, townships and areas that are still under blockade in the province today.

It is known that each kit has clear instructions from the manufacturer, so recipients will be easy to use it, helping them cleaning, washing away dirt and harmful chemicals in the eyes, nose and throat, protecting their health.
