According to the provincial Industrial Park Management Board, 46 industrial parks are taking shape to be in the province on a total area of 24,338 hectares by 2050 in accordance with the industrial park land use plan for the 2021-2030 and the industrial park land use plan in 2022. Accordingly, Binh Duong proposed to establish 15 new industrial parks with a total area of 10,042 hectares, excluding urban subdivisions in industrial - urban - service zones; 31 industrial parks continue according to the plan under Official Letter No. 173/TTg.
In 2021-2030, Binh Duong prioritizes investment in 18 industrial park projects with a land area to be implemented of 6,573 hectares. Thus, by 2030, the total area of industrial land expected to be needed to implement industrial park development projects is 16,609 hectares, an increase of 1,619 hectares; the total land area of 2 transitional industrial park projects and the remaining 9 newly planned industrial park projects to be implemented after 2030 is 3,901 hectares. With a vision to 2050, which is 2031-2050 period, 3,901 hectares of land left un-invested in infrastructure of industrial parks from the previous term shall enable 5 additionally new industrial parks on the area of about 3,827 hectares.
