Update: 27-12-2018 | 18:02:21

On December 21, Thanh Nien Newspaper collaborated with Thu Dau Mot University to organize a program to present traffic safety equipment to young workers in Binh Duong.

According to National Traffic Safety Committee, over 10 months of 2018, more than 6,700 people died of traffic accidents. In particular, Binh Duong was one of the provinces with many traffic accidents, each year more than 200 people die and more than 1,000 people are seriously injured. It is worth mentioning that fatal accidents happen much at night, one of the reasons is that it is dark, drivers cannot see. On roads with no street lights, the risk of accidents is higher.

According to authorities, using reflective equipment on traffic is one of the new ways to reduce accidents at night. With a compact design, reflective pieces are installed on jackets, pants, and vehicles will help traffic participants identify people and vehicles moving in any direction to promptly avoid within a distance of 200m. Therefore, the Organizing Committee of this program presented 7,000 reflective jackets to young workers, who are living and working in Binh Duong, with the desire to make people safer at night.

On this occasion, press agencies with resident offices in Binh Duong also gave a house to a household with difficult circumstances in Thu Dau Mot City.
