Early May 31, Thuan An town’s People’s Committee held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Children 2019 and open summer activities 2019 with the theme of “Joining hands for poor and ethnic minority children” at Nguyen Truong To secondary school.

The ceremony aimed to raise authorities at all levels, agencies, sectors, mass organizations, families and the whole society’s awareness and action in taking care of poor and ethnic minority children.
On this occasion, the town’s People’s Committee offered 40 gifts worth VND200,000 each to 40 needy pupils, encouraging them to rise up in learning. After the ceremony, more than 500 pupils were also presented gifts, took part in folk games and visited an interesting section displaying books.
*The same day, Di An town’s Steering Board of Teenagers and Children’s Activities organized a ceremony to open summer activities 2019 with the participation of more than 1,000 pupils.
At the ceremony, these pupils had a chance to enjoy special art items and take part in games. The organizers also donated 58 “dream” schoolbags to the local needy pupils. It is known that many other significant activities, including a contest on folk games, a book and childhood festival, a program providing free heart surgery for poor pupils.., will be organized during the summer vacation 2019.
On this occasion, the organizers also presented prizes to excellent units in the online competition “Di An’s youths take part in realizing late President Ho Chi Minh’s testament and join hands in 20-year Di An city construction”…

During the Action Month for Children 2019, the district will call for organizations, individuals to raise money for Children Support Funds at all levels to construct playgrounds for children, award gifts and scholarships to extremely difficult circumstances, fund heart surgery for handicapped children…
On this occasion, the district donated 6 gifts worth VND500,000 each to pupils with difficult circumstances. The district’s Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (HCMYPO) also honored outstanding HCMYPO detachments and “small plan” soldiers…
