Early November 6, provincial Women's Union coordinated with provincial Youth Union to organize activities in response to Vietnam Law Day (November 9), the 2023 Action Month for gender equality and gender-based violence prevention and response.
Huynh Thi Thuy Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Women's Union said that the peak of activities to respond to this year's Vietnam Law Day takes place from November 1 to 18. For this year's propaganda to be effective and in depth, provincial Women's Unions at all levels, officials, members and women from all walks of life in the province need to be proactive to coordinate with relevant agencies to organize the peak month on disseminating legal documents or concretizing them into skits, with propaganda contents directly related to women such as laws on marriage and family, land, traffic safety, food safety, environmental protection, domestic violence prevention...
At the event, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, Intermediate Judge of Ho Chi Minh city’s People's Court reported contents on gender-based violence prevention; new points of the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control. In addition, delegates learned about the contents that need attention on laws related to digital transformation, social insurance, improving the effectiveness of legal dissemination and education among all-level Women's Unions in association with participating in law development, social criticism and proposing policies related to women, family and gender equality.
