Provincial Industrial Parks (Ips)’Management Board said that under a plan approved by the Prime Minister, by 2020, the total number of Ips in the province will be 34 with 14,790 hectares in total.
As of now, the whole province has established 29 Ips with 2,662.81 ha in total. Among them, 27 are in operation with a total area of 10,962.81 hectares, including 6,695.13 hectares covered by investors or 88.13% of land tenancy rate. Currently, 2 Ips, namely VSIP 3 and Cay Truong, are carrying out procedures for infrastructure investment, with a total area of 1,700 hectares.
Province-based Ips have invested in infrastructure construction in accordance with the approved plan. However, the province now has 4 IPs that are slow to implement the process of adjustment for granting investment registration certificates, making land reduction with a total area of 231 hectares under the Prime Minister’s Document No.173/TTg-KTN. They include Song Than 3 IP with total area decreasing by 107 hectares, Kim Huy IP by 42 hectares, Dai Dang IP by 55 hectares, Phu Tan IP by 27 hectares. Two IPs, namely Cay Truong and Vietnam - Singapore III, are slow to deploy infrastructure investment procedures because they are in the process of adjusting their boundaries.
