At the meeting, Dung said that recently the Finnish Government has sponsored Binh Duong to develop infrastructure through a project building the South Binh Duong Solid Waste Treatment Plant. Currently, Binh Duong is proposing a drainage and wastewater treatment project in Ben Cat Town to participate in Finland's Public Investment Credit Program (PIF). Dung hopes that the Ambassador would continue to support Binh Duong in executing infrastructure improvement projects using official development assistance (ODA) capital from the Finnish Government; assist and invite potential Finnish investors to Binh Duong.
Keijo emphasized that the two countries Vietnam and Finland have celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The long-standing traditional development partnership between the two countries has gradually transformed into a substantive bilateral cooperative relationship. “Vietnam has become Finland's largest trading partner in Southeast Asia. Among them, Binh Duong is one of the most dynamic and potential developing localities in Vietnam. From there, many opportunities for cooperation and investment in science and technology will open up, aiming for the sustainable economic development of the two countries," said Keijo Norvanto.
