Being proactive to welcome high-quality capital flows from China

Recognizing and valuing potential partners from China, along with organizing the Horasis China Meeting 2024, Binh Duong is also actively and proactively pioneering in visiting this country to call for investment, especially opportunities to promote cooperation between Binh Duong, Chinese localities and enterprises.

Wide space for development

From April 3 to April 5, a delegation of Binh Duong province, led by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and sectors along with representatives of a number of province-based businesses, paid a working visit to Henan and Guangdong provinces in China.

This visit of the delegation aims at expanding opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experience between Binh Duong province and Chinese localities. One of the important destinations during the working visit of the delegation in Ha Nam province was the Command and Coordination Center of the China-Europe cargo ship assembly center under Zhengzhou International Dry Port Construction Co.Ltd. It is known that Zhengzhou dry port is one of China’s important ports, especially in transporting goods between China and Europe. With a favorable geographical location and modern infrastructure system, Zhengzhou dry port plays an important role in improving the ability of transporting goods between the two continents.

At the working session at Zhengzhou dry port, provincial delegation was introduced to the port's operational procedures and cooperation opportunities in the field of logistics and goods transportation. Sharing with leaders and enterprises of Ha Nam province, Mr. Minh said that promoting its geographical advantage as a trade gateway between localities in the southern key economic region, Binh Duong has been actively investing in developing a modern and synchronous infrastructure system, building up a complete intra-regional and inter-regional transportation system... Binh Duong is always considered as one of the country’s top localities in terms of socio-economic development with strong development in industrial production and FDI attraction.

The dynamic development of Binh Duong over the past time received great attention from the Chinese business community. Truong Man, Deputy Governor of Ha Nam province shared that she was very impressed with Binh Duong’s socio-economic development, especially in industrial production. Binh Duong province and Ha Nam province have many similarities in culture and geography. This meeting was an important premise for strengthening economic cooperation, developing bilateral trade as well as learning and exchanging experience, especially in transport, rail transport connecting Zhengzhou, China with Europe.

Welcoming high-quality capital

According to provincial Department of Planning and Investment, FDI projects from China into Binh Duong have are no longer clustered in some traditional and labor-intensive fields such as processing industry, textile and garment, leather and footwear, assembly. Chinese investors are gradually diversifying and expanding their priorities for projects in the fields of high technology, semiconductor materials, products for green transition and clean energy.

Previously, a delegation of Binh Duong province, led by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, paid a visit to Guangzhou city, Guangdong province in China. During this visit, the delegation worked with Sunwah Group. In the context of Vietnam's strong economic development in recent years, Sunwah's investment in Vietnam has increased. Currently, in Vietnam, Sunwah Group is investing in the fields of seafood and food, real estate, financial services, coffee, agricultural products, dry food and innovation.

Jason Choi, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and Southwestern area in China said that Guangzhou businesses realize that Binh Duong is currently a province with strong development in Vietnam, looking forward to exploring cooperation with the province's businesses, especially in the fields of manufacturing processing, logistics, science - technology... The Greater Bay Area will be a research base for cooperation with Binh Duong. Sunwah Group hopes to guide many business delegations to Binh Duong province in the near future.

Also during the delegation’s visit to China’s Guangdong province, Huawei Vietnam and Becamex Power Investment and Development Joint Stock Company - VSIP (BV Power JSC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote green energy transition in Binh Duong. Accordingly, the two sides will strengthen their strategic partnership, focusing on accelerating the pace of green energy transition, participating in the consultation process on local policies to promote the process of green energy transition for small and medium-sized enterprises towards a sustainable future.

Wishing that Chinese and Binh Duong enterprises would have many opportunities for cooperation in the coming time, provincial leaders affirmed that Binh Duong has always created many conditions to exchange information about investment cooperation opportunities with Chinese enterprises, especially industries and partners that suit the requirements of building a new ecosystem, projects with advanced technology and green projects for sustainable development.
