Binh Duong – Binh Phuoc Youth Union cadres’ get-together after almost 20 years

Morning Mar 22, Standing Committee of Binh Duong provincial Youth Union cooperated with Binh Phuoc Youth Union to host a get-together of Union cadres of all periods on occasion of the 85^th Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s foundation day (Mar 26^th 1931 – Mar 26^th 2016) at Ta Thiet historical relic in Loc Ninh district, Binh Phuoc province. It can be said that this was a historic meeting after almost 20 years of all Union cadre generations.

The meeting honorably welcomed Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo member, former President, former Song Be Party Secretary, former Secretary of Central Committee of HCM Communist Youth Union; Tran Van Nam, member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of Provincial Youth Union; Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee; Huynh Van Nhi, Chairman of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Minh Giao, former Head of provincial Party Propaganda Training Committee. On the side of Binh Phuoc province, Bui Thanh Phong, former Party Secretary; Tran Tue Hien, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee attended the meeting. In addition, Union cadres of Song Be province, Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc province of all periods also took part in the meeting.

In the emotional atmosphere of the meeting, Mr. Triet shared about necessary things to effectively attract and gather the youth: “It is both very easy and difficult to be a Youth Union cadre. It is easy, because many people can do it, but it is also difficult to achieve high results. It requires enthusiasm, dedication, knowledge, abilities to mobilize the mass; must be exemplary, not afraid of difficulties and must have an aptitude”. He also said, Union cadres of previous generations participated and completed the task of combating American enemies, reunified the country. The current young generation must keep protecting and developing the country, consider this as a long-term and throughout task. Representing the younger Union cadre generation, Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of Binh Duong Youth Union, said promoting the tradition, Youth Union of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc province have performed many twinning programs; joined hands to complete youth projects…

The get-together was really a festival of Union cadres of all time periods of the two provinces. We could see the joy, happiness, and full of emotions between generations through tight handshakes, emotional stories about glorious memories of Ta Thiet relic, where marks significant historical events and represents the resilient, fearless spirit, wisdom and talents of Vietnamese people.

After nearly 20 years, older generations gathered together, visited the old army base, told younger generations stories; listened to revolutionary songs, reviewed revolutionary tradition, shared feelings and thoughts to inspire the younger generations…Nguyen Thanh Hoan (Phu Hoa ward, TDM City) shared: “I was very honored and proud to visit Ta Thiet revolutionary base. I joined the resistance war in 1968. Returning to this place and remembering memories of the fighting, I was so touched. The get-together is a meaningful program and an occasion to review the tradition, remind the young generation to keep up the revolutionary path of their father’s generation”.

85 years of practice, dedication and maturation, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has growing in all aspects. Today's young generation is always proud of revolutionary movements in the past of his father's generation. At present, Youth Union of the two provinces have performed many meaningful projects for the community, social security, creating a youth epic with a significant spread.
