In the last week, Youth Union of districts, towns, and city in the province launched simultaneously environmental protection works. The animated atmosphere of blue-shirt young volunteers contributed to beautifying streets and building new rural areas…

At Dat Cuoc commune, North Tan Uyen Youth Union hosted the launching ceremony of provincial the 2nd Green Sunday 2016. At the day, the Youth Union gave symbolic boards of the youth’s new rural construction projects to hamlet union branches in the commune; introduced 3 young volunteers teams, including team of planting trees to complete the youth’s garden for environmental protection; team of delivering environmental protection leaflets at lodging houses, households in the area; team of sanitizing youth streets. Right after the ceremony, young teams planted trees, cleaned streets and delivered leaflets at Dat Cuoc market and lodging houses.

The spirited atmosphere in March days of TDM’s young ones comprised of voluntary activities for a civilized and modern city. TDM City Youth Union and Youth activities’ Steering Committee launched the youth project named “Civilized alleys” at alley 21, quarter 1, Phu Cuong ward and alley 293, quarter 2, Phu Tho ward. Besides, union branches performed youth projects together, typically, Phu Cuong ward Youth Union cooperated with An Tay commune Youth Union (Ben Cat town) to cut bushes, cleaned rural roads.

In Thuan An town, the launching ceremony of “Youth civilized streets, alleys” and “voluntary Saturdays” and introduction of young volunteer teams also took place. After the ceremony, all teams and participants together sanitized the surrounding environment, removed illegal advertising boards. At the same time, the youth in town enhanced propaganda and delivered posters of “5 things to do and 5 things not to do", criteria for building civilized roads, mobilizing and calling on all people to build up civilized, modern town. Meanwhile, union branches in the town simultaneously launched “Green Sunday" and “Voluntary Saturday” with over 2,890 young people taking part in activities of fishing hyacinth out of rivers, dredging rivers, removing advertising boards, sanitizing youth streets, lodging houses…

Implementing youth projects, Di An town Resources – Environment Office’s union branch offered 2 garbage containers to Di An temple and sanitized the surrounding area. The project will continue two more times in April with a total expenditure of 3.2 million VND. During the Youth Month, the union branch also carried out Green Sundays, Voluntary Saturdays to remove illegal advertising boards on key roads in the town.

In response to the environmental protection movement, Youth Union of provincial Enterprises’ bloc in collaboration with Khanh Binh ward union branch (Tan Uyen town) launched "Green Sunday" at South Tan Uyen IP. More than 150 young members of the two units clean garbage on D1 street with the support of 2 garbage trucks… During the second week of the "Green Environment” Youth Month, young ones in the province did many practical, meaningful projects, joined hands to propagate and act for a green environment.
