Binh Duong countryside is growing rapidly

At the working session to review 5 years implementing Resolution No 26-NQ/TW the 7th Party Central Committee Conference (10th tenure) in terms of agriculture, farmers and rural areas (called Resolution No 26-NQ-TW) in Binh Duong province on August 9th, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Central Committee Vice Chairman Ms. Ha Thi Lien affirmed, Binh Duong rural areas have developed comprehensively, farmers tend towards high technological agriculture.  High-tech agricultural production in Phu GiaoMs. Lien said, Binh Duong was successful in building up good agriculture through flexible policies, determined directions of local government; participation of enterprises; all are for farmers’ interests. Indeed, after 5 years, provincial agriculture is no longer dispersed like previously, but is gradually moving to high-tech agriculture; formed specializing areas using high technologies and orienting towards exporting to Japanese, Korean market. For instance, An Thai high-tech agricultural zone growing safe vegetable with 411 ha at Phu Giao district, Viet-Gap agricultural zone planting fruit-trees at Hieu Liem commune, Tan Uyen district with 90.2 ha, Tan Hiep – Phuoc Sang dairy with 471 ha.Due to preferential policies, transferred science technology, many farmers, projects applying high-tech agricultural production process, have been established, like: Tan Dinh commune’s safe vegetable at Uyen Hung, Tan Uyen; safe vegetable growing zones following Viet-Gap standards at An Thanh ward, Binh Chuan ward; high quality rice growing zone at Dau Tieng district…Ratio of successful crop due to using new seeds in agriculture is 80-100%; 100% perennial cultivated area is mechanized; 80% poultry and 85% pigs are bred concentratively, including 55% poultry and 22% pigs are raised according to high technologies process.Simultaneously, provincial People’s Committee stipulated policy supporting development of Lai Thieu and Bach Dang specialty orchard. This policy was appreciated by Central ministries and people, and is to preserve popular ecotourism zones.In order to narrow development gap between rural and urban areas, improve rural life standards, many projects investing in rural areas have been launched. Therefore, the current provincial countryside has overall infrastructure, rational economic structure. Namely, rural traffic system has been developed through asphalting, concreting rural, distant areas. Irrigational works have been funded, especially, developing capacity of irrigation and drainage of planting, water supply and sewerage in residential areas. The National Target clean water and environmental sanitation program supplied clean water to 15,000 countryside households, increasing provincial ratio of households using clean water in rural areas by 96.5%. 99.59% countryside households using electronic; 100% rural hamlets is able to use mobile phones, wireless fixed phones and internet. Education and health care are also focused, namely, 57% State-owned schools were added floors, 41% State-owned schools achieve national standards, 97.8% communes achieve medical standards, 100% communes and wards have doctors. “People join hands to construct cultural life” movement and family affairs have been performed effectively and integrated into the National target constructing new rural areas program to have positive effects on the community.“Binh Duong uses power of policies to change rural areas’ face”, said Ms. Lien.Regarding to new rural development, apart from 5 communes meeting criteria in 2013 and make attempts up to 2015, 50% communes satisfied criteria of new rural. Binh Duong has invested in rural areas not by achievements but life quality, enjoyment of accomplishment coming from modernization. Additionally, many policies, programs, projects applying scientific technical achievements; vocational training assisting rural areas, such as: transferring of safe vegetable planting process following Viet-Gap standards; technologies of poultry, cattle rising; project “Replication of scientific technological information access point”; scientific technological advancement of vegetable production…, have been launched across the province in order to complete successfully Resolution No 26-ND/TW.Reported by Hoa Nhan – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
