Right from the beginning of 2022, Binh Duong Department of Customs quickly embarked on dual tasks, trying to implement many solutions to ensure revenues, and continue to create favorable conditions for businesses within their operations of import and export activities, contributing positively to the development of the province.
In 2022, Binh Duong Department of Customs remains in the top position of administrative reforms, customs modernization to facilitate import and export activities, and early complete the planned targets
Businesses facilitated
In 2022, Binh Duong Department of Customs maintains its top position of administrative reforms and customs modernization to facilitate import and export activities in the area. Up to now, almost all of the procedures, interactions, and records handling of enterprises have been done in a 24/7 network. According to Binh Duong Department of Customs, up to now, 100% of basic customs procedures have been automated; 100% of customs sub-departments carry out electronic customs procedures with 99% of participating enterprises. The declaration, receipt, information processing and customs clearance decisions are made with a very high degree of automation; and the processing time for customs documents is very fast.
With the arrangement of 3 mobile container scanners at the Customs Branch for Import-Export Goods Management outside the industrial parks, Song Than Customs Branch and Binh Duong General Port Customs Branch have very conveniently served import and export goods of enterprises inside and outside the industrial parks of the province. Over the time of implementation, assessing the inspection of goods through the scanner brings high efficiency such as shortening the time for customs clearance of goods at an average of 3-5 minutes a container. If the time to enter the system is included, the clearing of goods is about 10-15 minutes a declaration (a declaration can include one or more containers), which is many times faster than manual inspection, meaning cost saving for businesses.
Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Binh Duong Department of Customs, said that currently, the scanning units that manage import and export goods through screening do not collect any fees from businesses, even the fee to enter the screening yard while saving a lot of manpower, and reducing costs by not having to load and unload goods manually as well as the cost of using lifting equipment, improving the ability to detect infringing goods, preventing and deterring fraudulent acts in import and export activities.
