On April 3rd, Binh Duong Customs organized a dialogue between customs and Japanese companies investing in Binh Duong province. Participants comprised Ms. Miyake Taek representing Japanese Consulate in HCM City; Mr. Yashuzumi, vice president of Japanese Businesses Association in HCM City; Mr. Tran Ngoc Liem, VCCI’s deputy director – HCM branch; Mr. Yamatomo, Chairman of industrial Bloc III - Japanese Businesses Association in Binh Duong, and over 100 representatives of Japanese businesses in the province.

During the dialogue, representatives of Binh Duong Customs presented new features of Vietnam Customs Law taking effect from 1-1-2015 as well as warned investors of common errors in procedures. The dialogue also focused on answering many investors’ questions involving new regulations on the import of used machinery, informal costs of customs procedures and so on.
In addition to these issues, leadership of Binh Duong Customs announced fees imposed by law, and affirmed that businesses did not have to pay any additional fees, in addition to these formal charges. Speaking at the meeting, representative of HCM City Japanese Consulate acclaimed and appreciated initiatives and practical effects brought by the dialogue, and hoped that this form of communication will be developed in other fields, contributing to facilitating businesses.
