Binh Duong has favorable conditions for semiconductor industry to develop

On the afternoon of October 9, provincial leaders received a delegation of semiconductor experts from Digitimes, led by Colley Hwang, CEO of Digitimes (Taiwan, China) at provincial Conference and Exhibition Center.

The delegation was received by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Hung, CEO of Becamex IDC, along with leaders from provincial departments and sectors.

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Loi stated that Binh Duong has many favorable conditions to implement strategies for the development of the semiconductor industry, including policies from the Government as well as local specific policies.

Provincial Party Committee Secretary emphasized that experience shared from the experts would help Binh Duong gain a deeper understanding of the semiconductor industry. He expressed the province's readiness to develop the local policies in line with its administrative capabilities, ensuring that all necessary conditions are provided for the semiconductor industry to grow, from small to large scales, with a focus on efficiency and profitability.

He also expressed his desire and confidence that partnerships between semiconductor companies and Becamex IDC would be highly effective while hoping that these businesses would invest and expand in Binh Duong.

During the reception, semiconductor experts gave an overview of Digitimes, shared experience in developing the supply chain for the IT and semiconductor industries, lessons for Vietnam, and insights on developing semiconductor manufacturing projects. They also discussed the role of authorities in creating specific support policies for the semiconductor industry and the development of human resources for this sector.
