Binh Duong’s delegation promotes investment in Australia

On the afternoon of March 25, a delegation of provincial People's Committee, led by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee, attended an investment promotion seminar in Australia’s Sydney city.

The seminar was attended by Nguyen Dang Thang, Consul General of Vietnam in New South Wales State, South Australia and Queensland; David Harding, Executive Director of New South Wales State’s Chamber of Commerce; Karla Lampe, Director of the Market Development and International Connection under the Board of Investment of New South Wales State.

At the seminar, Mr. Ha introduced delegates of Binh Duong province’s geographical location and advantages as well as the socio-economic development of the province over the past time; planning of industrial park and connected traffic infrastructure; FDI attraction; bilateral and multilateral cooperation with foreign localities and international organizations...Binh Duong currently ranks third in the country in attracting FDI capital, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city. Among countries and territories making investment in the province, Australia currently ranks 20th in terms of total investment capital with 29 projects capitalized at US$ 132 million.

With Binh Duong's potential and development opportunities, Mr. Ha called on Australian businesses to invest in the local priority fields on high-tech, auxiliary industries, information technology, high-tech agriculture, renewable energy; trade, services... "We always speak highly of the potential of Australian investors and hope that Australian large corporations as well as small and medium-sized enterprises will invest more in Binh Duong province...", Mr. Ha emphasized. He affirmed that Binh Duong province always stands side by side and accompanies businesses, being ready to create the most favorable conditions for production and business activities of foreign investors, including Australian ones.
