On August 2, an unnamed representative of the Department of Education and Training informed that Binh Duong did not increase tuition fees in the new school year of 2023-2024, so the tuition rate remained unchanged compared to the 2022-2023 school year.

According to Truong Hai Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, the provincial People's Council has issued a document approving the proposal to develop a resolution stipulating tuition fees for preschool and public education in the province for the academic year of 2023-2024 and the following years.

Currently, the Department of Education and Training is in the process of collecting opinions from relevant agencies and units to advise the provincial People's Committee to submit to the People's Council for promulgation of a Resolution regulating tuition fees for preschool and public general education institutions  in the province in the academic year of 2023-2024; at the same time, propose a group of beneficiaries to support tuition fees for preschool and general education, suitable to the people's ability to pay and the ability to balance the local budget.

The proposed tuition rate for public preschool and general education institutions that cannot afford their own recurrent expenditures in urban areas is VND 300,000 a student a month and rural areas VND 100,000 a student a month. Compared to the school year of 2022-2023, the proposed tuition fee for the 2023-2024 school year remains unchanged.
