Binh Duong supermarkets help farmers to consume lychee

To support farmers growing lychee, procurement division of provincial supermarkets, such as Big C, Co.opmart, Lotte Mart... have actively connected with, consolidated suppliers in lychee growing provinces to be flexible in distributing lychees and supporting farmers in northern area.

Accordingly, the lychee consumption at supermarkets has increased and contributed to consuming domestic lychees. Mr. Bui Tuan Tu, Head of Lotte Mart fresh food procurement division, said three days after implementing “Joining hands to sell lychees and support northern farmers in consumption” program (from Jun 17 to 19), 12 supermarkets sold more than 6 tons of lychee.

According to Co.opmart, Saigon Co.opmart will continue to accompany and support northern gardeners in fresh lychee consumption. The expected total consumption across the system would be from 350 tons to 500 tons from the beginning to the end of the season.
