Victory of the power of great unity

78 years passed, but the historical value of the August Revolution remains unchangeable. The success of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was the result of the long, resilient, and indomitable struggle of our people under the wise and ingenious leadership of the Party and Ho Chi Minh President. Inheriting and upholding the tradition and revolutionary heroic spirit in the resistance war as well as the achievements of Song Be province in the past, Binh Duong province today has achieved very important achievements in the cause of national construction and defence.

2023 marks a proud 26-year journey with Binh Duong provincial Party, government and people’s hallmarks in overcoming difficulties and rising up strongly. As an agricultural province, after 26 years of development, Binh Duong has become a major industrial center, affirming its position in the top of the country in terms of scale and speed of socio-economic development.

Through 26 years of construction and development, achievements done by the Party Committee, army and people of Binh Duong province are very proud and respectful. The result is the crystallization of the diligent, flexible and creative tradition of the people of Song Be - Binh Duong; is the sensitive and flexible application of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies & laws to concretize them into guidelines, mechanisms and policies suitable to the local actual situation.

The achievements done by the Party, government, army and people of Binh Duong province, especially lessons learned during 26 years of construction and development, will be an important premise and a great motivation for the province to overcome challenges in order to further develop and achieve greater achievements in the coming time with specific goals identified by the 11th provincial Party Congress: “…striving to build up Binh Duong with sustainable development towards a smart, civilized and modern city. Binh Duong will become a modern industrial center by 2030 and a smart city of the region and the whole country by 2045”.

Sharing efforts

2023 is also the time when Binh Duong has faced many new challenges. The world’s unfavorable and unpredictable situation has continued greatly affecting the production & business activities and growth driving forces of the province. Along with that, the business community in general has not yet recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic, but has further faced new difficulties from the impact of the international situation. The number of orders has fallen sharply, with inventories increasing and enterprises have encountered difficulties in accessing capital, high-interest costs, etc. These difficulties have forced many enterprises to cut staff and liquidate assets to ease financial difficulties, trying to maintain production activities, retain employees and partners. Workers’jobs have been affected. Accommodation service households have seen reduction in terms of their room rental capacity while the price of some essential items has increased. All have affected the quality of life of a part of the people.

In the general context with many obstacles, provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee have actively, drastically and closely directed all-level authorities and sectors to implement many solutions to remove difficulties and promote economic growth. Particularly, provincial People's Committee has continued focusing on directing and supporting enterprises to recover and develop production, business, construction investment, import and export; solving problems on real estate, social housing, production and business projects; making compensation, site clearance and speeding up the implementation and disbursement of public investment capital; proactively preventing natural disasters…

From the above mentioned solutions, the province’s socio-economic picture in July and over the past 7 months had many positive signs. Although not being as high as expected, the result has brought many growth prospects for the rest of 2023.

In the new conditions, the entire Party and people of Binh Duong will further promote the heroic tradition in combat, the offensive spirit of the August Revolution, and are determined to successfully carry out political tasks; enthusiastically and creatively carry out patriotic emulation movements; further make acceleration of studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle; uphold the strength of solidarity, the will of being self-reliant, the spirit of national pride and self-respect, overcoming all difficulties, promoting socio-economic development, contributing to successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, 11th provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; strive to build up Binh Duong province with sustainable development towards a smart, civilized and modern city.
