"Bring Tet home" launched by the Central Youth Union and Suntory Pepsico Vietnam Beverage Company is a program to present plane, train and bus tickets to help students, young workers, who have difficult circumstances, are affected by the Covid-19, in Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dong Nai provinces to return to their hometown to celebrate Tet with their families. This year, there will be nearly 3,300 tickets and many gifts from the organizers for students and workers.

Bui Quang Huy, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Secretary of the Central Youth Union, said that the 2022 Lunar New Year is coming. This year, due to the general disease situation across the whole country, especially for students and young workers who go to school or work far away, will face more difficulties in returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet with their families. Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is striving to care and organize activities for all people, especially for students, young people and workers having difficult circumstances to enjoy a warm Tet festival.

The program "Bringing Tet home" is one of such humane activities. Maintaining and continuing the success of the 2021 program, this year, the Central Youth Union wishes to continue taking care of and best support students, young people and workers to return home to celebrate Tet. Accordingly, the Organizing Committee will give two-way tickets so that people are able to return home celebrating Tet and come back to schools, work after Tet; will give Tet gifts, including Vietnamese rice cake prepared by young volunteers. The program also has the support of local Youth Union organizations to take care of safe meals on the way and pick people up at stations...
Do not let anyone left behind
At the launching ceremony of the "Bringing Tet home" program 2022, the program organizers announced a number of new things of this year's program. Compared to 2021, this year's program increased the number of support tickets from 3,000 to 3,290 tickets, including an additional mean of transportation (train). The program organizers cooperated with Viet Nam Airlines to organize three flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, Vinh and Da Nang, and cooperated with Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company to organize 55 trains to the central and northern provinces. This year's program will give away 540 round-trip air tickets, 2,475 bus tickets, 275 train tickets, and also gifts to young people returning home.
In addition to giving 3,290 tickets to students and young workers, the organizers also raised a fund named "Bringing Tet home", held a photo contest "Tet reunion" and "Festival of bringing Tet home". Accordingly, from 8 Dec 2021 to 10 Jan 2022, PepsiCo and the program organizers calls on organizations, businesses and individuals to jointly raise fund for "Bringing Tet home" through the e-wallet application Zalopay. The money collected will be used to buy more train tickets for poor students and young workers to return to their hometown during Tet holiday. For the photo contest "Tet Reunion", each individual or group taking part in this contest needs to submit photos based on to the weekly theme given by the Organizing Committee, such as images of medical team and doctors fighting the pandemic; the frontline blue-shirt force struggle against the Covid-19; the contest takes place at website mangtetvenha.doanthanhnien.vn. For the festival of Bringing Tet home, volunteers will wrap 4,000 rice cakes as gifts for students, young workers participating in the program in 2022.
Bui Quang Huy said: "Through the program, we want to continue spreading widely the message of "Do not let anyone left behind". Since then, Youth Unions at all levels and social organizations will continue to carry out more meaningful activities, support children having difficult circumstances, especially during the Lunar New Year.
