At about 10:45 on November 11, people in Group 7, Residential Zone 12, Chanh Nghia Ward, Thu Dau Mot Town were astonished to know that Nguyen Kim Long, 1984, threw his own 2-month-old child named Nguyen Kim Khanh Phuong on the floor, causing head injuries to the child.

 Despite treatment efforts, the child could not pull through after 2 hours.

 It was reported that Long returned home from Binh Phuoc and asked his wife, Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen, 1986, to take the child to his father’s home; however, Tuyen suggested that he should wait for a few months when the child is strong enough. Long got angry and threw the child on the floor when Tuyen was trying to prevent him from taking the child away. Long got away from the scene out of fearsome but was arrested at the hospital when he was trying to see his child.
