Ceremony to mark 14th anniversary of Binh Duong’s re-establishment and Binh Duong Enterprises’ Day held

On Dec.31, Binh Duong province grandly held a ceremony to mark the 14th anniversary of its re-establishment (Jan.1, 1997-Jan.1, 2011) and Binh Duong provincial Enterprises’ Day while honoring more than 100 enterprises with contributions to the province’s socio-economic development. Attending the ceremony were provincial Party Committee Chief Mai The Trung together with provincial leaders over periods.

 

At the ceremony, Nguyen Hoang Son, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that Binh Duong would further implement the renewal work led and initiated by the Party and see industry and services as a spearheading sector to create breakthroughs in development for a shift on economic structure towards industry-services-agriculture.

 

Over the past years, Binh Duong always maintained a GDP growth by 15%. In 2010, the province’s GDP increased by 14.5%; the average income per capita reached VND30.1mln; industrial production value grew by 20.5% and State budget collection reached more than VND19trillion. In 2011, Binh Duong is determined to fulfill socio-economic development targets set out by provincial People’s Committee and People’s Council, which will create a premise to successfully realize the Resolutions of the 9th provincial Party Congress and the 11th national Party Congress.

 

On this occasion, Minh Long I Co.Ltd. was awarded the first class Labor Medal while Binh Duong Forestry Product and General Export Import Joint Stock Co. received the second class Labor Medal (photo). More than 100 province-based enterprises also received the emulation banners and the certificates of merit from the Government PM and provincial People’s Committee.

 

Some outstanding enterprises were also given the national quality awards, including two golden awards for Minh Long 1 Co.Ltd. and Dong A Steel Joint Stock Co.; three silver awards for three enterprises in fields of rubber, steel and porcelain. Dao Thi Thanh Nguyen, former General Director of Thanh Le Export and Import Co. was also awarded the title of “national emulation soldier” .
