Charitable societies and activities facilitated in Binh Duong

Afternoon of February 24 in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Red Cross and the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front held a signing ceremony for a cooperation program to organize humanitarian, charity and social security activities during 2023-2027, the conference to summarize the movement of "Tet of Kindness - Quy Mao Spring 2023.” The program is online with 63 connection points under the request for provinces and cities across the country. At the Binh Duong provincial connection point, attending the conference was Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.

The joint program to organize humanitarian, charity and social security activities for 2023-2027 between the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front and the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Red Cross was signed to further promote the role, functions and responsibilities to organize humanitarian, charity and social security activities, and to spread the spirit of kindness, contributing to building and consolidating the great unity bloc of the whole nation, realizing the goal of building a country with sustainable development.

On the occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Red Cross held a conference to summarize the movement of "Tet of Kindness - Quy Mao Spring 2023.” The results of mobilizing resources to implement the movement of the whole association system reached VND 1,175.545 billion or 196% of the set target.

Speaking at the conference, Nguyen Loc Ha, said that the movement of "Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims" in the past and the "Tet of Kindness" has always been supported by the Party committees at all levels. The Party and authority of Binh Duong province pay attention to leading and directing departments, agencies, mass organizations and localities to coordinate with the Red Cross at all levels to implement many creative and effective forms and methods. The live TV program of "Tet of Kindness" in 2023 has mobilized resources worth nearly VND 40 billion. In addition, the model of "VND-0 Market" and "VND-0 Tet Market" sessions organized by the Red Cross Society to export are interested, facilitated, and regularly attended by provincial leaders of difficult circumstances in daily life and during Tet holidays.

From 2021 to early 2023, the whole province organized nearly 1,000 sessions of "VND-0 market", "Tet market with VND-0 ", helping nearly 200,000 people with a total support value of nearly VND 80 billion. Provincial leaders Binh Duong will continue to pay attention and direct the political system in the province to accompany the Red Cross in humanitarian activities, especially the "Tet of Mercy" movement so that all people can have a full and sufficient welcome of a complete and prosperous Tet.

On the occasion, the Red Cross of Binh Duong province is one of the provinces and cities with excellent achievements in the movement "Tet of Kindness - Quy Mao Spring 2023”, awarded a certificate of merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Red Cross.
