Charity houses donated to the poor in Dong Thap

Di An town’s Red Cross Society and its Volunteers’ Club have just held a delegation to visit and present 200 gifts worth VND70,000, comprising of rice, instant noodle, cooking oil, soya sauce, seasoning powder and cash, to the poor in Chau Thanh district’s Tan Phu commune in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap.

The delegation also donated 2 charity houses valued at VND50million to 2 families in need of housing. The first house was given for the family of Pham Thi Tu and the second one was for the family of Pham Thi Tu.

It is known that the charity program was funded by members of the town’s Volunteers’ Club, Buddhist followers at Phuoc Dong pagoda and provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board.
