Checking, reminding and handling many traffic violations

Inspectors of provincial Department of Transport said that in May 2022, the unit detected and made 80 records on administrative violations, issued 80 decisions on sanctioning 87 administrative violations pertaining to road traffic order and safety with total fine of nearly VND500 million. The unit also confiscated 9 driver's licenses, 17 badges, 1 certificate of the stamp of technical safety and environmental protection with a term of 2-3 months and temporarily seized 1 vehicle.

Of the above mentioned violations, functional forces made 14 records on administrative violations related to overloaded vehicles; made 4 records on administrative violations related to violations of transporting goods exceeding height as stipulated. They have also just conducted a comprehensive inspection tour of 19 river-crossing passenger terminals on Saigon and Dong Nai river routes. Specifically, they inspected the Song Thu restaurant and 33 vehicles at 19 river-crossing passenger terminals. In addition, they forced 19 wharf owners and 24 vehicle drivers to sign commitments not to carry more than the specified number of people, well observe the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic and Decree No. 139/2021/ND-CP December 31, 2021 of the Government.
