Creative gratitude activities in Thu Dau Mot City

Upholding the doctrine of gratitude, Thu Dau Mot City authority has implemented practical and creative activities to warm the hearts of national contributors and socially privileged families. Honoring such activities, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs awarded Thu Dau Mot City People’s Committee a medal on commemorating the 70^th anniversary of Martyrs’ Day of July 27.

The donation of houses of gratitude to social beneficiaries in Dinh Hoa Social Housing Block has warmed up many families in difficulties. Donation of the apartments upholds the motto of caring for them in all aspects of life. Thu Dau Mot City has directed the departments, unions, and localities to join up for practical things. Only in 2012-2017, the city has built 39 gratitude houses and repaired 34 ones. In 2017, the city is building 2 units and repairing 2 houses of gratitude and reviewing to prevent national contributors having damaged houses from not being considered for support. In addition, TP.TDM supports the procurement of 11 beds; the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of TDM City has supported the procurement of 11 worshiping altars and 19 sets of tables and chairs from the fund assisting the poor in Thu Dau Mot City.

Nguyen Thu Cuc stressed that for the above results, every year, professional agencies of Thu Dau Mot have inspected the work of subsidizing and implementing preferential policies for national contributors at the grassroots, through which timely remediation, solving the shortcomings and difficulties of the locals have been extended. Thanks to the concern, together with the efforts of the socially privileged families and national contributors, nowadays, average living standard of national contributors is higher than the average living standard of the local residents.
