More than one hundred representatives from economics institutes and Central Highland provinces gathered at an economic forum in La Lat city, Lam Dong province, on December 29. The event was part of activities for Da Lat Cultural and Tourism Week, providing an excellent opportunity to introduce development potential in Lam Dong and other localities in the Central Highlands region. Participants suggested boosting tourism development in the Central Highlands, central coastal region, and Ho Chi Minh City, and promoting knowledge-based economy in the south-central region to fully tap the potential of the Central Highlands. They stressed the need to adopt incentive policies aimed at attracting more investors and concentrate on high-tech agricultural development, as well as tourism marketing and cultural preservation. Central Highland-based Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) radio station cooperated with the Lam Dong provincial People’s Committee to launch a 45-minute live programme on development potential of Da Lat-lam Dong tourism. VOV
