Daewoo (RoK) explores investment opportunities in Binh Duong

On December 21, Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, received Jung Won Ju, Chairman of Daewoo Construction Company of Republic of Korea (RoK), to explore investment opportunities in Binh Duong.

Nguyen Van Danh introduced that Binh Duong as one of the important links in the Southern Key Economic Region, and the province has a high speed of industrialization and urbanization. Up to now, Binh Duong is one of the three provinces attracting the most FDI capital in Vietnam. Currently, the province has more than 4,000 FDI projects with a total registered capital of about 40 billion USD. In which, Korea has 760 projects, total investment capital of 3.3 billion USD.

Binh Duong is attracting investment selectively in projects with high technology content, without environmental pollution; implementing Binh Duong Smart City and Innovation Region projects... Therefore, provincial leaders wished that Daewoo Construction Company develops cooperation with and help Binh Duong connect and attract Korean potential businesses that are in line with the province's investment orientation.

Jung Won Ju said he was very impressed with the development of Binh Duong province and said that this is a land having many rooms for development. Daewoo will work with Becamex IDC to study investment cooperation opportunities in the coming time.

Currently, Daewoo has invested in a 186-hectare urban project in Hanoi and has a strategy to invest in other urban development projects in Vietnam.
