Delegation of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Training work with Binh Duong province on the implementation of Resolution No. 23

 On May 25, the Central Committee for Propaganda and Training’s delegation led by Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, had a working session with Binh Duong province on the implementation of Politburo’s Resolution No. 23/NQ-TW (10th term) on "Continuing to build and develop literature and art in the new era". Le Huu Phuoc, Provincial Party Standing Committee’s Member, Head of Provincial Committee for Propaganda and Training, chaired the meeting and worked with the delegation.

After 10 implementation years of Resolution No. 23, despite some difficulties, literary and artistic activities of the province achieved certain results, creating a foothold and affirming its position in the national culture. Party committees, authorities, departments, unions and people from all walks of life increased their awareness of the role and position of literature and art, and the reform of the leadership and management of literature and art. The recognition of talents and many good policies to artists created confidence, professional pride, stimulating the dedication of artists to literature and art. Folk artistic movements developed steadily. The research, collection, conservation and promotion of literary and artistic values ​​were concerned to preserve national cultural identities. Professional literary and artistic activities got new developments. Literature And Art Association always adhered to principles and objectives in its operation; set up specialized branches and is in development in terms of quantity, quality and social efficiency.

In the last 10 years, the province had 12 artisans, who received the title of Elite Artisan; 100 folk artistic teams, groups, clubs and 73 “don ca tai tu” clubs; arts institutions in the province created 161 new programs, hosted more than 4,230 shows; provincial Literature And Art Association has 8 branches with 417 members...

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Vuong Duy Bien appreciated achievements of Binh Duong during 10 implementation years of Resolution No. 23. He said that the interest and support of provincial leaders created favorable conditions for cultural fields, including literature and art, to develop. Besides investing in facilities and movements, the core of literary and artistic activities was resources. Therefore, the province needed to invest, treat and order artists to promote their creativity, create good works in order for literature and art to develop commensurately with economic development of the province.
